Life Cycle Costing

Life cycle costing is a methodology for determining the total cost of a system from its conception to its disposal (from 'cradle to grave').

Simplify the Project Management Process

Pipercove System Analysis™ adds system engineering templates starting with a life cycle costing template. The template includes tasks, resources, calculations, reports, system design and versioning capability.

Project management information including tasks, resources, time and cost are provided in a format that is familiar to system engineers including activities that incorporate tasks that are spread throughout the project lifetime.

The life cycle costing template includes calculations based on the project management and system information. The calculations include comparison, failure prediction, sensitivity analysis, summation and monte carlo.

The system associated with the project is represented as base system information, a hierarchy of parts, activities representing one or more tasks and associated resources.

The library capability provides an editor environment for adding, changing or deleting parts, tasks and resources from library files.

The system information can be frozen one or more times to permit comparison between versions. Identify key changes to the project through system version cost and item comparison reports.

The Project Guide includes a walkthrough to ensure that the key system information can be provided and checked.
